Quantum Circuits And NVIDIA – A Key Partnership Combining the Benefits of Error Awareness And CUDA-Q Programming

Error-aware quantum programming opens the door to significant opportunities for application designers to generate value in their quantum workflows. At Quantum Circuits, we introduce error awareness to synthesize the power of error detection with the possibilities unlocked by advanced real-time control flow, which tightly couples quantum and classical computations on qubit timescales. It enriches the toolbox for users, and it is available through our SDK.

The quantum computing ecosystem is diverse and robust, making collaboration paramount for success. That’s why we’ve kicked off a strategic partnership with NVIDIA, given the exciting intersection between the real-time control capabilities of Quantum Circuits’ systems and their CUDA-Q programming environment. Through this partnership, we are strengthening our product offering and broadening the audience that can access Quantum Circuits’ leading systems and simulators.

The partnership builds on our extensive collaboration on the Quantum Intermediate Representation (QIR), a key software translational layer leveraged by both companies. Quantum Circuits is a founding member of the QIR Alliance, and NVIDIA plays a central role guiding the direction of this leading initiative. The QIR facilitates excellent efficiency throughout compilation and simulation of quantum applications. NVIDIA’s high-performance CUDA-Q compiler and simulator therefore naturally complement Quantum Circuits’ high-throughput and fidelity systems.

Our partnership with NVIDIA also lays the groundwork for hybrid quantum-classical algorithms executed with high-performance computing (HPC) solutions and dual-rail qubit quantum systems for the first time. The dual-rail approach paves an efficient path toward scalable error correction and, near-term, provides a host of new tools for algorithm development. Coupling that with HPC capability is a natural forward-looking direction as efficient hybrid quantum-classical applications become an essential tool in any quantum developer’s workflow.

On March 20, we will join NVIDIA on stage for a panel with CEO Jensen Huang as part of the company’s inaugural Quantum Day. While we may shed light on this work, there are additional topics we will spotlight, such as the reality check on the quantum computing market and expectation-setting on progress now and in the future.

Overall, quantum innovation and commercialization accelerate when industry collaboration occurs. NVIDIA and Quantum Circuits’ work together is helping to pave the way toward quantum computing’s commercial viability.
